About Us

The idea for Little Helper’s first product, the multi award winning FunPod, was borne from a real parenting problem. When the founders’ toddler Aimee was nearly scalded with boiling water from a pan after taking Mum by surprise, Kim decided action was needed. She did not want to leave her daughter in another room watching TV, she wanted her daughter to be with her when she was in the kitchen, but she wanted her to be safe. Over dinner that evening a plan was hatched that would see the FunPod in thousands of kitchens in various countries across the world over the following years.

Now in 2011 the FunPod has won 9 prestigious awards and can be bought in a number countries in Europe and North America, as can the award winning FunPod HighChair, launched at the end of 2008.

Such was the success, founder and mumpreneur Kim Johnson was awarded 'Inspirational Mumpreneuer of the Year 2009' for the North of England by magazine Mums in Control.

As well as Little Helper’s own ever inreasing product range, the company also distributes a number of high quality and innovative international children's brands. These include the incredibly stylish and contemporary sleepwear and nursery brand, Baby Boum from Belgium and US based baby high chair and buggy brand, Zooper.

2011 will see a third major brand added to our distribution portfolio, and a host of new products from the Little Helper stable.

The company may have grown, but our values are the same. Our kids deserve the best start in life we can give them, and many of our products are about interaction, education and development.
